Not a note of what I'd like to see, so much as what I -do- see. You seem to cook somewhat like I do- experimentally and haphazardly, and I like that. I will take someone's recipe and mix it up with my experimental knowledge of what might taste good, or I might look at the nearly-bare pantry (as I did today) and think "What can I make from this..?" You also write your recipes out the way I do. I always worry that those people who have to know exactly how much of whatever to put into something will freak when they read how I tell you to make something. But I always just throw things together and hope for the best. Tonight, for example, turned into a quick minestrone-type soup from three cans of beans, drained but not rinsed, half a jar of leftover crushed tomatoes, half a box of leftover beef stock, two cans of those nasty mixed vegetables (finally, I found a way to make them taste decent), a box of risotto and some leftover star pasta that I've been having trouble getting rid of. My husband threw in some thyme, rosemary, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper, and boy was it delicious. YUM. And the best part? It'll last at least two days.
